1. What Oneiros is

Oneiros helps you write dreams, optionally transcribe voice notes, receive AI-assisted symbolic reflections, review journal history, and notice recurring dream patterns. Oneiros is for journaling, wellness, and self-inquiry only. It is not therapy, diagnosis, medical care, mental health treatment, crisis support, or professional advice.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may process:

• Account information, such as email address, user ID, login provider, and authentication metadata.
• Dream journal content, titles, dates, drafts, generated reflections, chat messages, symbols, motifs, and related metadata.
• Optional voice recordings or audio files when you choose to use voice journaling or transcription.
• App settings, including onboarding state, interpretation depth, language preferences, and security settings.
• Support messages and contact details when you contact us.
• Technical metadata needed to operate, secure, debug, and sync the app.

3. How we use information

We use your information to:

• Provide dream journaling, storage, sync, search, calendar, and insights features.
• Generate AI-assisted reflections, follow-up chat responses, dream metadata, and pattern reports.
• Transcribe optional voice recordings when you request transcription.
• Authenticate your account and protect app access.
• Respond to support, deletion, privacy, and data export requests.
• Prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your dream content, use it for advertising, or use it for tracking across apps or websites.

4. AI processing

When you request an interpretation, follow-up response, transcription, or pattern insight, relevant content may be sent to our server proxy and configured AI providers to generate the requested result. These providers may include OpenAI and Anthropic, depending on the feature and server configuration.

AI output is automatically generated symbolic material. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. Treat it as reflection material, not fact, instruction, clinical assessment, or advice.

5. Service providers

We use service providers to operate Oneiros. These may include Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and Edge Functions; OpenAI and Anthropic for AI and transcription features; and email providers such as Resend or Postmark for support and contact workflows. These providers process information only as needed to provide the app and related services.

6. Local storage and sync

Oneiros is designed around offline-first journaling. Some journal data, settings, drafts, and sync queues may be stored on your device so the app can work across sessions and while offline. If sync is enabled by your signed-in account, data may also be stored remotely so your journal can be available across devices.

7. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not routinely review your dreams. Limited access or disclosure may occur only when needed to operate and secure the service, provide support you request, debug serious issues, comply with law, enforce terms, or protect users and the service.

8. Your controls

You can request access, correction, export, deletion, or restriction of your personal data by contacting us at support@oneirosjournal.com. You can also use in-app account deletion where available. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or dispute handling.

9. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide Oneiros, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and operate the service. Deletion requests remove account-linked app data where technically and legally possible.

10. Children

Oneiros is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use Oneiros. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Security

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect your information, including authenticated access to account data and server-side handling of AI provider keys. No system is completely secure, and you should avoid entering information you do not want processed by the app.

12. International processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, depending on our service providers and infrastructure.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Oneiros changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the app or this website.
